Shiny Happy Drew

My new LEAST favorite thing that my very determined and independent 2 year old did by himself - put Vaseline on all over himself. He was in the playroom watching a movie and I was on the computer. He came down and said "Mommy, Dew put lotion on".
Imagine my excitement over this. The pictures don't even do it justice. But in one picture you can see the excess on the side of one of his ears. Oh and he evidently thought his shirt collar needed lotion on it too!

Gary's Birthday

Gary's 55th Birthday was Monday so over the weekend he wanted everyone to get together for a little celebration. We met up at The Montgomery Inn in Cincinnati. All 5 of the grandsons were there. Note Blake's lovely pose in the back of the picture. I'm so proud.

Dinner

Tonight I fed Kai some cereal after his bottle. He sat at the table with us in his highchair. He is not sure what to do with the spoon and cereal yet. He pretty much spits back out everything I put in there. I think some of it makes it to his stomach, but not much.

4 Months

These are pictures of each of the boys at 4 months old. I like to look back at pictures every once and a while and compare. Kai just turned 4 months old on the 18th. This week he rolled from his back to his side and then from his side to his stomach. He tries to sit for short periods of time. He wants to see what's going on and doesn't like to lay down much.

These first two pictures are Kai at 4 months, the second two pictures are of Drew at 4 months and the last two are of Blake at 4 months.

Kai is trying to sit on his own

Yesterday Kai was in his bouncy seat and pulled himself up into the sitting position. He wants to sit on his own badly. Most of the time he tries and can't do it, but yesterday was a big moment so we captured some pictures. The bottle was in front of him (you can't see that in the picture), and he was just staring at it when he wasn't looking at me. I think he was proud of himself.

Kai, Natalie, Drew and Nathan

Last night we went over to the neighbors house for dinner. It was Italian night so we ate some very good lasagna, salad and stromboli (and raspberry bars and brownies for dessert). Everything was delicious. Kai hung out with his girlfriend Natalie who is about a month younger than him. Drew played with his best friend Nathan. Here are a few pictures. In the one with me holding Kai - you can see my wonderful neighbor Stephanie trying to hide from the camera. But Rich is good, he caught her hiding. Sorry Stephanie, I thought this picture was funny and had to post it!

Blake's 9th Birthday

It is hard for me to believe Blake is already 9 years old. Time has really flown by. It seems like he was just a little baby not long ago. Now he's in 3rd grade and likes soccer, Pokemon and has a great knack for drawing. Yesterday we had a little family get together for his birthday. On the 17th he and 2 friends are going snowtubing in Mansfield. So he gets to celebrate his birthday a few times. Here are a few pictures from yesterday.
