The Weekend

Blake and Drew spent some more time this weekend getting to know their new brother. Grandma Cindy came for a visit and helped out with Kai so Rich and I could get some sleep. It was great to finally sleep through the night after 2 months of not sleeping much at all! Rich is off work one more week which is a great help to me with the baby.

Family

Blake and Drew haven't been home since Kai was born. Blake has been at his dads house and Drew had been spending time with his grandparents. Both boys came home tonight. It has been great having everyone together. Yesterday Rich and I took Kai down to Albany to meet my grandparents and spend time with my parents. Here are some pictures from yesterday and today.

Kai Alexander Wrather is here!

We got to Riverside this morning at 7:10am to be induced. They started the Pitocin around 8am. They broke my water at 10:30am. Kai was born at 11:57am. He weighed in at a very healthy 8 pounds and 14 ounces and is 21 inches long. He has a head full of hair, even more than Drew did! We have been spending the day with our family getting to know Kai. Here are some pictures from today.

What were the Wrather's doing a year ago?

Last year at this time we were on the best vacation of our lives! We started in Lucerne, Switzerland (for 3 days) and from there went to Venice, Italy. We stayed in Venice for 2 days before we boarded our cruise ship with Royal Caribbean to head off on our Mediteranean Cruise. It stopped in Dubrovnik Croatia, Naples Italy, Rome Italy, Sicily, Corfu Greece and Barcelona Spain. I have been reminiscing about the trip so I'm attaching some pictures so you can see how beautiful this part of Europe is if you haven't been there yet.

Day 10 - Corfu Greece

Day 9 Sicily (Taormina, Messina and Mt. Etna)

Day 8 - Naples Italy (Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius)

Day 7 - Rome Italy

Day 6 - Dubrovnik Croatia

Days 3,4 and 5 - Venice Italy
